I know some papers on a recent topic coined as "deep disagreement," just like a concept of disagreement in a foundational level of discussion. But if this is the same with an old topic of the difference of paradigms in the philosophy of science argued by Thomas S. Kuhn, there is no shared base of discussion between people having distinct positions and they cannot make a useful discussion to generate a conclusion that is convinced of them. So, I insist that it is no advantage of saying such "deep" disagreement to argue about anything to get a useful conclusion for us to be shared with each other, and this "deepness" is not a truly foundational level of disagreement.
